The Luck of the Irish

It's St. Patrick's Day and I was pinched over and over again today. I forgot to wear green. How sad is that? My name is Kelly Fitzpatrick. Pathetic. But here is the cincher...I have not one single memory of St. Patty's Celebrations with my brother--he worked at Hennessey's Tavern for many, many moons. And he ALWAYS worked the busiest night of the year: March 17. So I have nothing to share. Do any of you, friends and family?

The 1st year Bryan did St Paddy's day celebration he was so excited; it only took 1 year for him to realize it was just an excuse for a "big, drunken, free-for-all". After the 1st one, he dreaded it.

Moms right on this, although it may have taken a little longer than the first year. I remember going to the first one at the Vista store where he was a "owner" and we sold t-shirts and beads were the prized gift! He also had me help him collect the money for the entrance into the pub because I was the only person he could trust to give him all the money that was collected as it was all "cash"......That was the night he really shared with me how much he disliked this particular holiday.
