My First Ever Blog

Hello friends and family! You are visiting this blog today because, like me, you are thinking of Bryan right now. Thanks for partaking of this moment with me. I miss him too!

I have dozens of friends who began their blogging journey because they have something important to share. I never felt compelled to begin a blog as I didn't have anything important to say. But today, I join the ranks--I begin my blogging journey--because I have something to share. Something really important-MY BROTHER!

I am praying that all that is recorded here will one day bring solace and comfort, laughter and tears, old memories and record of new ones for my children. I want to keep the promise I made to my brother at his memorial nine days ago--"I will keep telling your stories, brother!"

As a momma of five, I understand all too well that good intentions don't take you too far. If I intend to keep my word, to keep my brother alive by telling his story, to share his HUGE heart with my children, then I must be intentional. I need to remember him and his life and repeat his stories over and over again. So that my littlest son, Peter, will share in the sweetness, however short, of his uncle's life. I pray he will never know that these are not really his memories. Since Uncle B died when he was only two years old, Peter's memory of my brother will fade with time. I am purposing myself to do all that I can to prevent that from happening.

So today, a few hours away from the first year of my life with out my beloved brother, I begin this blogspot as a scrapbook and memorial, tribute and tell-all for my brother, Bryan David Klungreseter. . .I love you brother.

PS-Have patience with me, the techno-disabled gal. I want to include his dvd slide show from the memorial along with a photo slideshow of the memorial. But this was all I was able to accomplish on this first try. Stay tuned...I intend to get good at this real quick!

I feel truely blessed to have known BK. He always made me smile whenever I worked with him. Although his presence was short, he definately made a positive impact on everyone's lives that he came in contact with.

Keep up the blog, it's awesome! I know it's hard, but I hope you and your family have a blessed and happy new year.

I just found out about BK's passing. It's already been a year. My heart goes out to his family. He really was one of the best guys I ever met in my life. I remember during high school having just moved to Escondido there were'nt many minorities, everyone was a stranger nobody really spoke to me much, and I felt way out of place.

Then this dude named Klungy with more spike hair then the law should allow comes up starts talking then later invites me to hang out. We became good friends from that point on. Football, taco shops, teeing off in the yard at his parents old house in Esco. I bet I ate 50 avacados in that backyard!

I always admired that he was the type of guy that could be trusted with anything. Except reliable transportation. That old beat up blue volkswagon rabbit he was driving at the time was a real piece of junk! Thinking about our times together brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes. Your memory will be apart of me all the days of my life. How did it go? "My brotha! from anotha motha! of anotha color!" That's how I'll remember you Klungy. Rest in peace dear old friend.

Kelly,

I just found out about Bryan's passing and a friend from Facebook e-mailed me a link to this blog. I am so impressed that you have this. My brother Bryan also passed away on April 30, 1991. He died in a motorcycle accident. I wish I had a blog for him. (of course in 1991 I don't even think I owned a computer). I really enjoyed reading your posts and shed tears reading the memories and watching the videos and viewing the pictures.
I went to school with your Bryan. I was the only girl on the Freshman football team in 1988 and he used to razz me about it. He had such a huge presence and made me laugh out loud on more than one occassion. I can't believe he is gone from this world at such a young age! Did he go to Conway and Grant School? I can swear I remember him from that far back. He was a little bit of a flirt, but was always a gentleman. I think I still have a note somewhere that he passed me in class! I just wanted to share with you that I was sad to hear that he has passed. BTW; the Eric Clapton song that you have playing on his blog also reminds me of my Brother. If you ever want to talk with someone who completely understands your sorrow, please get in contact with me. Kerriern@comcast.net Or Facebook Kerrie Armstrong-Lakin
